The Mamores range of mountains are just to the south of Ben Nevis but they are no less stunning. This picture shows just a section of this range of high peaks and narrow ridges, taken from the top of Stob Bàn. I first walked over the Mamores in 2005 in tremendous weather, but I didn't have a camera with me. This picture was taken in 2012 in even hotter weather that was probably too hot for mountain walking. I didn't go any further into the Mamores from this point, but descended into the valley bottom left. I have a deep love of the Mamores and have returned many times over the years.
